Certified Resume Save File Instructions
These instructions are somewhat pithy. If you have any questions, we can answer them promptly via the Contact Form.
- You received an email with your ResumeFit document attached. OPEN the attachment to review it. If it looks good, proceed to step 2. If you find something that you’d like to change, then DELETE the email and the attachment so that you don’t mistakenly use them, and LOGIN to your account to make your changes.
- CLOSE the attachment. RIGHT CLICK on the file name in your email. Select COPY and then go to My Documents (pc users) and the file folder you wish to use to file your ResumeFit document in. RIGHT CLICK to use the PASTE function. Your ResumeFit document is now showing and is now ready to be used just like any other resume in MS Word.
- If for some reason you want to change the file name you can do so by RIGHT CLICKING the file name and selecting RENAME. (Don’t know exactly why you’d want to do that, but we want you to know that you can.)
- Do NOT use the Save, Save As… functions while your ResumeFit document is OPENED. You’ll likely lose the digital signature. If you do lose the digital signature by mistake, DELETE the file and simply return to the email and use the COPY and PASTE functions again. You can’t find the email – simply login to your account and request another one to be emailed to you.
